Pre-Construction
Matt Wilson
Takeoff Engineer
I am a graduate of The John Carroll School and currently serve as a Project Engineer and Takeoff Engineer, where I play a role in project planning, estimating, and coordination. My responsibilities involve supporting projects from the initial planning stages through execution, helping ensure that estimates are accurate, schedules are organized, and project requirements are clearly understood.
My role allows me to work across several aspects of the construction industry, including reviewing project documents, evaluating scopes of work, assisting with cost estimates, and coordinating with project teams. I enjoy the combination of technical problem-solving, organization, and collaboration that comes with the position, as each project presents its own challenges and opportunities to learn.
I am focused on continuing to expand my knowledge of construction practices, improving my estimating abilities, and developing the technical and management skills necessary to take on greater responsibilities. I value learning from experienced professionals, gaining firsthand industry knowledge, and finding practical solutions to everyday project challenges.
As I continue to grow in my career, my goal is to build a well-rounded understanding of the construction industry, strengthen my ability to manage complex projects, and contribute to the successful completion of every project I’m involved in. I look forward to continuing to develop professionally while taking on new challenges and opportunities within the industry.
