My journey in the mechanical insulation industry started at 14, working weekends and summers throughout high school. By 18, I was leading full-scale projects, and soon after, stepped into a superintendent role where I gained hands-on experience managing crews, coordinating multiple jobs, and driving operational efficiency. 

In 1987, my brother and I launched our first company, Hudak Insulation, which quickly expanded into Hudak Asbestos Removal Inc. in 1990, Hudak Construction Services in 1992, and Hudak Site Utilities in 1997. Over two decades, the Hudak companies earned a strong reputation as a well-run, highly capable group of companies serving a broad range of industrial and commercial needs.

In 2007, due to differences in vision, the companies went in new directions. Hudak Insulation became independent and relocated. Hudak Mechanical Insulation was established in 2008. In 2010, we restructured under The Hudak Companies, uniting the mechanical insulation, asbestos removal, and construction services under one umbrella. The company thrived in its new location until 2016, when we successfully merged with another major firm—creating a powerful partnership that lasted for several years.

But eventually, it was time to return to our roots and reignite the legacy we had built.

In 2024, we launched a new chapter: Timothy James Construction (TJC), Timothy James Insulation (TJI), and Timothy James Demolition (TJD). TJC serves as our management and operations hub, while TJI and TJD continue to deliver expert services to clients—many of whom we’ve proudly served for decades.

Our mission is simple: provide unmatched service, deliver high-quality results, and bring decades of hands-on experience to every project we take on. We’ve seen nearly everything this industry can throw at us—and if we haven’t, we’ve seen something close enough to know exactly how to handle it.
