Towson University Smith Hall Renovation & Addition

The Towson University Smith Hall Renovation and Addition Project is a major approximately 200,000-square-foot transformation designed to create a state-of-the-art academic facility supporting communications, media arts, and teaching excellence. The project combines a comprehensive renovation of the existing facility with a significant new addition, creating modern spaces for students, faculty, and innovative academic programs.

The renovated and expanded facility will feature a two-story newsroom, cinema, television studios, media production spaces, classrooms, and collaborative learning environments, providing students with hands-on opportunities in communications and media arts. The project also incorporates sustainable building systems, including geothermal technology, to improve energy efficiency and long-term building performance.
